Dublin in recent years has undoubtedly become one of the most popular places in Europe to visit or stay in and with good reason. Dublin is Ireland\'s capital city and since its beginning around 988AD it has accommodated many diverse nationalities from the Vikings to the English invaders to the sailors, traders and writers who settled and lived here over the centuries.

The city has always had a reputation as a great historical city, and its strong links with world literature and the arts are readily apparent. It certainly has a lot to offer visitors - not least it\'s diverse attractions. In summing up, Dublin has been gaining a reputation over the last decade that very few cities in the world could live up to.
