Education aBc at St Edward\'s School - English language school in Oxford, United Kingdom |
 |
1 - Language School Overview :
Education aBc is delighted to be able to offer some of the best quality residential courses in the world, on a campus which is worthy of the very best. We are using the premises of a prestigious private school, St Edward’s School in Oxford.
The school is 1 mile from the centre of Oxford, on a completely enclosed site, so that the students never have to cross a road between the high quality residences, the classrooms, the dining hall and the sports facilities.
We have some of the very best teachers, all qualified and experienced, in fully equipped classes, an excellent activity programme, with a range of different excursions each week. We also have our International Sports Academy range of extra opportunities, with fully qualified, specialist sports coaches providing tuition and training in sports such as golf, tennis, football, basketball, and rugby.
We have top quality facilities, including:
• Well appointed and equipped classrooms.
• Newly refurbished residences, mostly with one and two beds per room.
• 24 tennis courts, football fields, rugby pitches, a sports hall and a swimming pool, basketball courts, and many other sports and activity facilities.
We also have the advantage of international students, both native and non-native English speakers being on site during the period of our courses, giving you a truly international experience. This is an important part of our course, encouraging students to speak - and think - English at all times!
2 - Location :
Oxford is just the best place for a Summer Course.
We are really very lucky to have such excellent facilities that we could be running this course anywhere. But to be able to offer such a good course just outside the centre of this wonderful student city makes it even more exciting!
Oxford is a wonderful city at any time of the year, but it is in the summer that it is at its best. England gets plenty of rain in the winter, so that in the summer there is green everywhere – the trees, the grass, the flowers. Oxford is a city built for summer, with tree-lined roads, quiet walks by the river, and plenty of space. Whether you want to go punting or just lie back and watch the trees rustle gently in the breeze, there is space to breathe – and time to think.
Home to two universities, one of the most famous libraries in the world, as well as many schools, hospitals and museums, Oxford is also a centre for learning. There is inspiration everywhere you look, from famous academics, to key moments in British history, and some of the most beautiful buildings you will see anywhere.
But all those students mean that there are loads of things for students to do, as well! Restaurants and cafés, of course. Cinemas and theatres. Parks and squares. Shopping and street entertainment. Whatever your taste, there will be things to excite you, spaces for a moment of quiet and reflection, and plenty to do! For more information, please see our website at http://www.EducationABC.co.uk.
