PLI is recognized internationally for its high academic standards and offers students an excellent opportunity to learn English in an international atmosphere. Our year-round, quality English programs are for adults (18+) who wish to improve their knowledge of English for career and business purposes, or who need to learn English in order to enter colleges and universities in Canada and the United States. The core program is our General English program, which incorporates eight levels of Communication Skills and a range of Specific Skills Options. These include Grammar & Accuracy, Advanced Writing, Business English and TOEFL,TOEIC and Cambridge Exam preparation.

Our schools are located in the beautiful downtown business districts of both Vancouver and Toronto and have state-of-the-art multi-media centres giving students’ access to the latest software programs and free access to Internet and Email. The ‘cyber café’ in the large student lounge also offers students an opportunity to keep in touch with home, while enjoying free tea and coffee in a friendly atmosphere. There are many activities available to students to explore in the area as well. We are located in great downtown locations that are close to shopping, entertainment, nightlife, restaurants and all public transportation lines. There are many cultural activities, such as visits to museums and art galleries. Outdoor activities depending on the season include beach volleyball, hiking, skiing, rafting and kayaking. Other options include attending musicals, concerts, and opera, professional sports league games such as baseball, basketball, football, and hockey.
