1 - Language School Overview :
The Slaney Language Centre is a small and personal language school for adults and specialises in one-to-one tuition and teaching in small groups (max: 8 participants).
Our school is recognised by the Irish Department of Education and a member of MEI-Relsa.
Our teaching team has worldwide experience in language training. Each tutor is fully qualified to teach English as a Foreign Language. Our classes are small and teaching is student centred. Participants receive a warm welcome at the SLC and quickly gain confidencee expressing themselves regardless of their level.
Teachers and students of many differnet nationalities get to know each other well and always enjoy a chat during at breaktime, during excursions etc.
Our most populare course is the General English Group Course Intensive which can be combined with private lessons in the afternoon. Other courses include the Irish Culture and Literature Course tailored towards the Over 50s, the First Certificate Exam Preparation Course and the Full Immersion Course for Executives.

The Slaney Language Centre is located just outside Wexford town in a castle overlooking the river Slaney and the Blackstairs Mountains. This is a beautiful and quiet location ideal for study. Wexford is a picturesque and lively coastal town in the Southeast, the sunniest part of Ireland famous for its endless sandy beaches and the annual opera festival in October.
Since small and friendly students find it easy to meet with locals, share their stories with them and experience Irish life by being part of them. Language students are welcome to join local clubs such as hillwalking, film club, music and dance lessons and much more.
