1 - Language School Overview :
The Auckland Language Centre was established in 1984, and is one of the oldest private language schools in New Zealand. It is located in a quiet square, close to St Patrick’s church and some gardens, and just a short walk from the shops and services of the busy centre.
We offer a range of course and programs to suit all language needs and levels. From General English, Business English to examination preparation programmes (IELTS, TOEFL, CAE, FCE) and Activity Courses there is something to suit every taste. Class sizes are limited to 12 students.
Our approach is very communicative and the learner is encouraged to use and practise the language as much as possible. Our teaching methods are skills based (reading, writing, speaking and listening), with vocabulary, grammar and structures introduced around interesting and relevant themes.
ALC is well equipped with a Self-Access Centre, free Internet facilities and a large student common room. There are weekly sports and sightseeing activities that you can join, and fantastic weekend trips outside of Auckland that offer fun and value for money unmatched by anyone else!!!
