1 - Language School Overview :
Worldwide School of English offers English language education for adult students at a great location in downtown Auckland. We offer 7 levels of General English and an EAP (English for Academic Purposes with IELTS and University preparation) programme. Our classes have a maximum of 14 students. We offer Pitman’s Business English courses as well as Cambridge, TOEFL and TOEIC Exam Preparation classes. In addition to our senior school we run a Teen programme (14-17 years old including high school preparation) and a Junior Academy located inside a New Zealand Primary school for students aged from 6 –13 years old.
We arrange Homestays with New Zealand families and all of our families are carefully inspected and selected. In addition we offer single and share apartment accommodation at our own Worldwide House, located in Newmarket.
Our school facilities include computer rooms (with FREE Email & Internet access), library with self-study areas, recreation rooms, a movie theatre, kitchens and a student room. A full range of after school activities, social events and weekend trips are also organised through our activity and social programme.
Worldwide is famous for its international mixture of students. We have many students from Europe, South America, Asia, The Middle East and French Polynesia. We have more than 30 different nationalities studying at Worldwide Schools.
Native language counsellors, academic counselling/placement for further study and airport pick-up is all free for Worldwide Students.
2 - Location :
Worldwide School (main school building) is located in Downtown Auckland city. We are inside Worldwide School building, a four story 1920’s building. Over the last few years we have renovated the inside of the building. On the first floor we have 12 classrooms and a kitchen and bathroom area. On the second floor is our administration area, teachers room and library/self study area. The third floor has our movie theatre, recreational rooms, student lounge with kitchen, bathrooms and 8 classrooms. The fourth floor has the 2 Internet computer rooms, 10 classrooms as well as another kitchen and bathroom area.
Near Worldwide School there are many restaurants, cafes, shops, many important companies and buildings (we are 1 minute walk from Auckland’s main street of Queen St) as well as the harbour area.
