English Language College (ELC), is NZ Qualifications Authority approved and opened in 1989. We provide English and Employment training as well as specialised literacy and numeracy training. Our students have gained excellent grades in IELTS and other examinations. We have also found excellent jobs for students who have wanted to work in New Zealand.

We are located in central Christchurch beside the beautiful river Avon and just 10 minutes walk from the lovely Hagley Park. There are many restaurants, banks, caf¨¦s, and shops within 2 minutes walk of the school. We are just 15 minutes drive from the airport and beach. The central bus station is 7 minutes walk from school. There are also 14 ski fields within 3 hours drive of ELC.
