Mission Statement: “Enhancing lives through world-class education” • Language Schools New Zealand was established on the 19th April 1993 in Queenstown by the owner Mr Guy Hughes and it is registered and has course approval by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority • Language Schools New Zealand Christchurch, was opened on 21st September 1998 • Language Schools New Zealand was awarded the prestigious Tradenz Export Commendation in 1998 from the New Zealand Government. • We are members of CRELSNZ, and are a signatory to the Ministry of Education Code of Practice. • Our schools are right in the centre of their towns and we offer our students convenience and an ambient and quiet environment for study. • Our aim is to be the best language school in each of our cities. • Full time and Part time English Courses: Morning lessons concentrate on grammatical correctness, vocabulary, speaking and listening skills as well as reading and writing. Afternoon lessons concentrate on spoken skills, conversation and discussion activities. • Exam preparation is available for IELTS, Cambridge, TOEFL and Pitmans. EAP classes prepare students for University and our staff can arrange placement into all New Zealand Universities and Institutes of Technology. High School Preparation is also offered • With “Study and Ski/Snowboard” courses, students can study English in the mornings and enjoy skiing and using English with their teacher in the afternoon (Queenstown is 25 min from the nearest ski field). • With “Study and Activity” course, students can study English in the morning and enjoy many exciting summer activities with their teacher in the afternoon. • Students can transfer between the schools without extra enrolment fees and so can experience small beautiful town and two big elegant and cultural cities. • The schools all have a large student lounge with television, video and stereo, a modern kitchen, with full cooking facilities, many classrooms, self study area and games room (Chch) and large Garden and BBQ (Qtn). The Chch school is in a beautiful, newly refurbished building, two blocks from the town centre. • High Speed Internet Access is free for all students at all schools. • Teaching staff are fully qualified English teachers and we have a good mix of nationalities to offer truly International English. • We pride ourselves on a excellent activities programme both during the week and at weekends. • With branches in Christchurch and Queenstown, we offer group holiday programs combining the best of New Zealand. Also Full time study programmes combining both locations. • All homestay families are carefully monitored and police checked by the school to ensure a high standard and an excellent experience for our students. • We offer student apartments for our students who prefer not to homestay.
