RLT is a small, friendly school welcoming students from all over the world. The school has an excellent nationality mix with students from 27 countries studying in 2003. Each student is treated as an individual. Our small class sizes (average 5 students, maximum 8 students year round and 12 in summer) and academic excellence attract individual students who are looking for a unique experience. We offer both group and individual tuition, in English and all foreign languages. The school has 5 classrooms and a large reception and cafeteria area. Students are provided with free tea, coffee and biscuits at the mid-morning break, when students, teachers and staff have the opportunity to mingle and to practise their English with native speakers. There are 2 computers for the students’ use offering free internet access. Our host families live in a larger than average houses and are genuinely interested in their guests. Students eat breakfast and evening meal with their host family and lunch is also provided at weekends.

Richmond Language Training is situated in Richmond-upon-Thames, on the edge of London. Richmond-upon-Thames is a very attractive, busy, cosmopolitan town, situated on the River Thames 12 kilometres from the centre of London. There are good transport links to central London with both underground and overground trains which take as little as 20 minutes to Waterloo Station. Heathrow Airport is within easy distance, with bus and underground links or a short taxi journey. Richmond is a beautiful, leafy suburb with many parks and green areas, such as Richmond Park, with deer owned by the Queen, and Kew Gardens, where 300 acres of land and splendid glasshouses contain over 40,000 specimens of plants from around the world, including many endangered species. The view from Richmond Hill is a source of inspiration for artists and poets and the area has a wide range of artistic and leisure activities, including museums, galleries, theatres, cinemas and restaurants. Richmond offers excellent shopping, bringing together top designer names with small, specialist boutiques and antique shops. Nearby are many famous tourist attractions such as Hampton Court Palace, the London Wetland Centre, Ham House, Richmond Theatre and the Orange Tree Theatre, Twickenham Rugby Stadium, Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum and Eel Pie Island, where the Rolling Stones played their first concerts.
