At Severnvale, we specialise in high quality, intensive business, executive and general English courses for mature adults who want to learn English quickly. The average age of our students is always between 31 and 35 years old; we offer a range of 11 courses from 20 to 40 hours per week, taught in very small class groups, and with the option of 1-to-1 tuition. Many of our students are sponsored by their companies (we provide training for over 150 companies worldwide) and most are learning English for professional reasons. Established in 1982, Severnvale is a leading English language school - away from crowds of foreign students, allowing total immersion in the life and culture of England, yet easily accessible from major airports. Our teachers come from a range of professional backgrounds - all are well-qualified and they have an average of 15 years' teaching experience; equally important, they mostly have experience of the wider professional world in addition to being excellent teachers. Shrewsbury is possibly England's finest medieval town, with a wide reputation in England for its superb 15th-16th Century black-and-white wooden-framed houses. Also known as The Town of Flowers, surprisingly Shrewsbury is still not a major tourist town – you won’t find yourself surrounded by hundreds of other foreign visitors here. It's a regional capital, and with a population of 100,000 it's lively and there's plenty to do. This is a place where visitors can really immerse themselves in English life, language and culture. Severnvale is the ONLY accredited language school here, and the local people welcome our students into the community as guests. This gives you greater contact with the language, and more opportunities to practise and improve your English socially. There's also no local accent here - the people speak GOOD English.
