1 - Language School Overview :
Agape English Language Institute offers high-quality, affordable intensive English language instruction in a hospitable atmosphere. Our goal is to equip our students with the English skills and social support necessary to meet their academic, professional, and personal objectives.
We present an integrated curriculum which allows students to gain proficiency in all the major language skills. We have 21 hours of classes a week. Casses consist of communications (speaking, listening, and pronunciation), grammar and writing (composition), vocabulary and reading comprehension (understanding non-technical reading material), and TOEFL preparation (advanced students).
We are located in two different places in the state of South Carolina: Columbia (the capital and right across from the largest university in the state) and Greenville (green mountains). You may choose which location you would like to study in (features can vary from location to location, so please ask about the location that you are interested in).
Most of our faculty members have a Master's Degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language or a certificate in related fields. Students learn both FLUENCY and ACCURACY in the English language. Each class is made up of an average of 9 students per class. This gives the students the maximum conversation interaction with their teachers.
We also offer out-of-town trips for our students. We travel to Orlando, Florida, Washington D.C., Myrtle Beach, SC. etc. These trips are an additional cost and are usually offered on the weekend and between the sessions. Not only do we offer trips, but local activities such as picnics and other social activities are held during the year.
