1 - Language School Overview :
The University of Central Arkansas Intensive English Program offers a comprehensive program in English as a second language. Established in 1992, the IEP helps students improve the English and study skills necessary for success in U.S. colleges and universities. The curriculum includes courses at three levels: advanced beginning, intermediate, and advanced. Students receive instruction in listening, note-taking, pronunciation, conversation, public speaking, reading, vocabulary, grammar, writing, TOEFL preparation, and cultural orientation. The full-semester program is offered twice a year--fall (mid- to late August) and spring (January). A 10-week Summer Program in American Culture and English is also offered beginning in June.

The UCA campus is located in the town of Conway, Arkansas, a growing community of about 50,000 people in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. Conway is a short drive from Little Rock, the state capital. The lovely campus is situated in a residential neighborhood that is safe, comfortable, and pleasant. There are many beautiful parks, lakes, rivers, and forests throughout the area.
