1 - Language School Overview :
The ESL Institute offers intensive English courses for highly motivated students who wish to read, speak, hear, and write English for professional, personal or academic purposes. We offer: free airport pickup at Green Bay Airport (GRB); orientation to campus and community; Language placement into four levels of instruction; 20 hours of class each week; 4 hours of class daily in reading, writing, speaking, listening. W have small classes with an average class size of 10 and a maximum class size 15. In the summer we offer 4-week sessions which start in May, June, and July. During the academic year we have 8-week sessions. We also offer
conditional admission and scholarships to College degree programs for qualified students. Students under the age of 22 live in college dormitories. We do not offer homestays.
ESL students use all college facilities at no additional cost. This includes computer labs with e-mail and internet for all students; conversation partners (not available in summer); tutors available afternoons; sports Center, college library, and Health Center. Each level of study takes 16 weeks (one semester) to complete. In the summer, 3 four-week summer sessions equals one level. Students who complete our Advanced Level with good grades, may qualify for conditional admission to a degree program – no TOEFL score required. We do not offer TOEFL preparation classes.

We are located at Saint Norbert College near Green Bay, Wisconsin (pop. 200,000+) on the banks of the Fox River only eight minutes from Green Bay Airport, three hours by car from Chicago, and two hours by car from Madison and Milwaukee. St. Norbert College is a highly ranked, private, 4-year, liberal arts and sciences university with 2000 students enrolled in 40 degree majors. De Pere is a suburb (20,000 people) of Green Bay. We are surounded by beautiful farms, rivers, lakes, and forests.
