1 - Language School Overview :
Located on a lovely hillside on the California State University, Los Angeles campus, the American Culture and Language Program (ACLP) offers intensive English language classes 24 hours a week, each 10 week quarter. The classes offered daily are: reading, writing, grammar, conversation and listening & pronunciation. Other offerings include TOEFL preparation, practical English and bridge to the university (includes critical thinking). A modern computer lab with interactive capabilities also prepares students for the new TOEFL. In addition to daily classes, students experience American culture and have opportunities to practice English on field trips and special social activities. We also offer opportunities to participate in the ACLP student government, movie club or sports after school club. Homestay and on-campus apartment housing are also available.

2 - Location :
The Cal State LA campus is located five minutes (by Metro) from downtown LA, which connects to a subway to Hollywood. The campus was established in 1947, and has very modern labs and facilities, including baseball, volleyball, track, basketball, swimming pools, etc. There is a lovely view of the mountains in the winter, and skiing facilities about 45 minutes away. The Pacific ocean is also about 40 minutes from the campus. On campus housing is apartment style, with two or four bedrooms, a completely furnished kitchen, living room, dining area a storage area and a patio. Laundry facilities are also included. There are about 25 buildings on campus. There is a bus and metro station located on the campus.
