1 - Language School Overview :
We provide excellent intensive English training on a safe, beautiful campus in a friendly city. We offer low costs, small classes and full services, including weekly activities and trips to local amusements.
Our average class size is just 7 students, with a guaranteed maximum size of 12.
We meet students at the airport, provide dormitories where they live with American students, and take good care of them.
Students may study for as little as three weeks, or over one year in our 12-level program. Each full level consists of five weeks of instruction; 25 hours per week. We try to ensure that students receive instructions in all skills important to master English: grammar, reading, writing, and listening/speaking. We also offer optional classes such as business English, American idioms, American culture points, etc.
Students may continue into undergraduate studies at Maryville College, which offers over 30 majors. Scholarships are available for students who enter the undergraduate programs.
2 - Location :
We are located in the beautiful mountains of east Tennessee. Maryville is 20 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, and 20 minutes from the larger city of Knoxville. So, we have the best of both country and city life.
Maryville College has a large, park-like campus with 7 dormitories, several classroom buildings, and full athletic facilities for student use (pool, tennis, sports fields, exercise centers). The International House has a full kitchen, computer labs, TV and study rooms for student convenience.
The residence halls are just minutes from the classrooms and everything is conveniently located to make students’ lives easy.
Our students, especially those who have studied also in larger cities or in larger programs, often comment about how easy, relaxed and safe the lifestyle is here.
