1 - Language School Overview :
The Intensive English Language Program (IELP) offers full-time and part-time English Language, Business English and American Culture instruction to international students and faculty, foreign professionals, and members of the Connecticut community. At the IELP, we care about our students and are dedicated to ensuring that they have a positive experience. The IELP provides students with small classes (average of 8 students per class; 16 student maximum). All instructors have advanced degrees. New students receive a complete orientation to CCSU and life in the US and enjoy a wide array of campus support services, including immigration advisement, computer accounts and e-mail accounts, library privileges, and various other campus amenities. Students receive certificates and evaluations upon completion of each course. A free Institutional TOEFL is administered at the end of each 8 week session. In addition to their academic English coursework, students are encouraged to participate in field trips and social activities in the area and neighboring states.

IELP is located in the town of New Britain, just two hours from New York City and Boston, in the scenic, rolling hills of central Connecticut. The city of Hartford, Connecticut's state capital, is just fifteen minutes away and offers many cultural opportunities. The city of New Haven, a center of arts and education, is just a forty-five minute drive south. With easy access to fine beaches, golf courses, ski resorts, and a vibrant cultural life, Connecticut provides a perfect balance of city and country life.
