1 - Language School Overview :
The Loyola Intensive English Program (LIEP), part of Loyola University New Orleans, has been providing high quality English language training since 1976. LIEP prepares students from around the world to use English in an academic, social, or work setting. Because the average number of students in LIEP classes is 12, each student receives individual, personalized attention. LIEP offers classes at two levels: intermediate and advanced. Classes meet five days per week, four hours per day. Instruction focuses on composition, grammar, reading, and communication skills. LIEP has met the standards of and is a member of AAIEP. LIEP students have access to all University facilities, including library, health center, residence halls, dining facilities, computer labs with Internet access, and recreational facilities. LIEP also offers a variety of cultural activities throughout the semester.
