The University of California, San Diego English Language Institute provides high-qualilty English language training oin the campus of one of America's top universities. UCSD is located about 20 km north of downtown San Diego, in the upscale resort community of La Jolla. The neighborhood surrounding the campus varies from apartments and condominiums on the east side to multi-million dollar mansions on the west side. Most of the surrounding area is residential, with restaurants and retail outlets; there is no industrial area near campus. The campus is easily accessible by bus, as it serves as a main hub for many routes. In addition, the campus has its own fleet of shuttles to take students for free to nearby shopping and housing complexes. UCSD is only 15 minutes on foot from the Pacific Ocean.
