1 - Language School Overview :
Lucem Institute is a Spanish school in Palermo. We offer a wide variety of courses such as General Spanish, Business Spanish, Medical Spanish, Spanish for Specific Purposes, preparation for DELE exams. We also offer Volunteer and Internship programs. The courses can be Regular (20 hours per week) or Intensive (30 hours per week)and the student can choose between group or individual instruction or combine both. All the courses courses cover the four language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, with special emphasis on listening and speaking, with grammar and pronunciation practice and vocabulary building. Also, as part of the learning we plan recreational and cultural activities such as tango and cooking lessons, visits to museums and typical neighborhoods.
We offer accommodation in family houses, hostels and private apartments on request.
2 - Location :
Palermo Soho is a small area of Palermo Viejo around Plaza Serrano (officially Plazoleta Cortázar), and it is a newly fashionable area for fashion, design, restaurants, bars and street culture. The atmosphere in many cafés and restaurants strives to be alternative, which makes this area of the city especially popular with young, upper-middle class Argentines as well as foreign tourists. The traditional low houses have been adapted into boutiques and bars, creating a bohemian feel. The square has a crafts fair.
