1 - Language School Overview :
Our school strives to seperate itself from its competitors by the quality of its teaching.
We were founded by a group of linguistics instructors from the Universidad de Buenos Aires who wanted to create an enriched Spanish learning environment in Buenos Aires, and we are still working hard today to maintain that initial vision of what a langauge school should be.
Our teaching style is what is known as the communicative method, an approach which attempts to cross disciplines and allow our students to gain a wider insight into Argentina and its people – its society, its institutions, its politics, and its culture – at the same time that they are learning the language. This is the methodology used in all of our regular language courses, from beginner to advanced. For more advanced learners, we also offer Latin American Studies curriculum, in Argentine Society and Politics, Literature, and Economics. The idea, at all levels, is the same – to widen the scope of the classroom focus as large as possible, so as to keep the language-learning process fresh, interesting and involving.
2 - Location :
The institute is located in the heart of Recoleta, one of Buenos Aires' nicest and most centrally located neighborhoods. Within walking distance of the school there are bars, cafés, museums, and shopping, as well as the pedestrian park area surrounding the Recoleta cemetery, a great place to relax.
Buenos Aires, as a city, is one of Latin America's most cosmopolitan, a metropolitan area where the cultures of Europe, brought over by its immigrant settlers, have been made to mingle with the indigenous and criollo cultures for which South America is more commonly known. The result is a city with cafe lined avenues, green leafy parks, theatres, tango dance halls, as well as restaurants, bars and a wide array of other nightlife.
