CEPEX: Centro de Español Para Extranjeros - Spanish language school in Bogotá, Colombia

Founded in 1999 the Centre, part of the Faculty of Finance, Government and International Relations, offers courses in Spanish as a foreign language. These courses are targeted both at foreign residents in Colombia and students from abroad who wish to learn Spanish with a view to taking University courses. With start dates throughout the year, a choice of intensive and semintensive courses and a wide variety of course topics, the CEPEX programs offer you the flexibility to fit your lifestyle. The CEPEX has offices located in the two most desirable parts of Bogota, the historical centre -Candelaria- and the north of the city. The Candelaria is renowned for its colonial architecture and old world charm, while the northern part of the city is where all the international companies are located. All teachers working for the CEPEX draw on many years of teaching experience, employing in their teaching practice and methodology the most recent developments in pedagogical research. All the teachers, selected for their enthusiasm, are able to appreciate the needs of the students and take an active role in the planning of courses. Apart from language courses, the CEPEX offers classes in Latin American literature, Colombian Contemporary society and Colombian Art. All academic hours correspond to 60 minutes. Those students who want to take university courses and have an adequate level of Spanish may attend lectures in the Faculty of Finance, Government and International Relations.
