Limiting our group classes to only 3 students, we are able to customize our classes and teach in a highly personalized manner. Our courses arenot fixed and are constantly modified to meet the learning styles and pace of our students as well as to suit their personal goals for learning Spanish. We have added little touches such as free fresh fruit, fruit juice and coffee daily free of charge. We also offer on-site Internet access. Our staff and students lunch and spend free time together speaking Spanish, in contrast to many schools where the students spend their free time speaking English to their fellow students and never get to know professors other than their own.

We are located in a safe, quiet, upper class neighborhood of Tres Rios, about 10 minutes away from the University of Costa Rica and downtown San Jose, plenty of malls, theatres, bars and restaurants. If you choose to stay with one of our carefully chosen homestay families, you will be living just a short distance from the school in a very comfortable house. The big advantage of Personalized Spanish is that we limit our group classes to no more than 3 students. This means you'll be participating more and really taking advantage of your time with us. Furthermore, our professors have years of experience working with students at all levels and know how to make classes fun. Another advantage that we offer our college students is the opportunity to do a short term internship with a Costa Rican business in your field at no extra charge. Through our contacts, we have been able to place students in various fields of study into short term internships which have been a wonderful experience for both parties. It also looks great on your resume! In addition to classes, we also offer cultural activities 2-3 times a week which can include cooking/dancing classes, trips to Costa Rican landmarks, nightlife outings, or lectures given in Spanish. We can also of course, help you plan trips to any one of Costa Rica's beautiful beaches, reserves, rainforests or anywhere else you would like to go with our experienced tour guides.
