1 - Language School Overview :
The Academia Latinoamericana in Quito, is set in a colonial building, with interior patio, 21 classrooms, video room with amplification equipment, library, teachers room, auditorium, solarium, cafeteria, a multipurpose indoor court (racquetball, wallyball, speed soccer and basketball field), internet service, all classes with digital connection for interactive participation between the schools in Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. Classes are held in and outdoors with a capacity for 55 students/day. Participants are half from Europe, half from the United States. The majority are professionals and university students.
We have an additional campus in the cloud forest by the Tandayapa reserve, 4 hours a day of group classes and one excursion every afternoon. Accommodations and classes take place at a lodge in comfortable shared rooms.
2 - Location :
The Academia Latinoamericana in Quito, is set in the
residential area of La Carolina, next to La Carolina
park (great place for students since they can practice
sports such us soccer, basket, volley, jogging, aerobics,
roller skating, etc and about 10.000 quitenos practice
sports specially Saturday and Sunday), it is also close
to the Metropolitan park, the biggest green area in Quito,
which is a great place to go in order to do some jogging,
running and have a fantastic view of the vally of Quito.
The school is locates is a small street called Noruega,
which is a residential area, full of good restaurants,
galleries, five shooping centers, three five stars hotels
(Sheraton, Dann Carlton, Akros), several internet cafes, and
much more.
