Guanajuato is a small, safe and friendly city located just a few hours north of Mexico City. Arguably the most beautiful city in Mexico, Guanajuato was the country’s most important silver mining town in the sixteenth century. Romantic shaded plazas set amidst well-preserved colonial architecture define Guanajuato's character. Picturesque streets and narrow stepped alleyways extend up a steep valley, providing fabulous vistas around every corner. A unique arched tunnel system follows the course of a re-routed river, and takes most traffic through town underground and unseen. This makes Guanajuato an excellent city for padestrians. There is always something going on: parades, music in the plazas, church celebrations with fireworks and cultural performances. We have fourteen different museums, several performance halls, and beautiful weather that makes the surrounding mountains accessible all year round. The school is located in an elegant neighbourhood near central Guanajuato and has a beautiful environment for learning with lots of relaxing areas to study or hang out between classes.
