1 - Language School Overview :
CICA is a friendly Spanish language school offering Spanish language and culture courses in Granada and Almuñécar (Spain). We are a young and enthusiastic team with wide experience in language teaching and multicultural groups. Our teachers and teacher trainers are all qualified and professional. All our classes are small (maximum 8 students) and our students come from all over the world.
We offer courses for adults all year and we accept also closed groups throughout the year. We are a hard-working, quality school offering good value courses. Each location programs provides a wide range of activities, safe environment, sites to see, and enthusiastic Spanish staff.
2 - Location :
Almuñécar, overlooking the crystal-clear and calm Mediterranean Sea, is considered one of the prettiest and most picturesque spots of the Tropical Coast of Granada, - a mountain landscape rolling down to the sea where avocados, custard apples, mangoes, papayas, bananas and guavas grow. This is only possible because of the exceptional temperatures of the area, between 18ºC (64ºF) in the winter and 25ºC (77ºF) in the summer. Especially famous is the beauty of its sea floor.
The town is easy to reach, less than one hour’s drive from the cities of Malaga and Granada.
The beauty of the old town which is reminiscent of other cultures and civilizations (Bronze, Phoenicians, Romans, Arabs and Christians) impresses visitors. These cultures and civilizations have shaped the image of a warm and welcoming town. The heart of the old town is laid out with parallel streets radiating from the plateau at the top of the hill, where San Miguel’s Castle dominates the white houses that spread out around it.
Tradition and modernity have shaped a town that has known how to adapt to modern times, thanks to the development of tourism and the creation of hotels and apartments. Visitors will be able to find a wide array of accommodation so that they can enjoy the numerous beaches (26 in total) of the area, many of them placed among rocks and hills.
