1 - Language School Overview :
The García Lorca Spanish Centre is a school specialiced in the teaching of Spanish as a foreing language. The teaching staff has wide experience in pedagogical methods, making the learning of Spanish a pleasant, agreeable and efective task, combining didactic resources and adapting them to each type of course. The objetive of our teaching system is not only the learning of the Spanish, but also the understanding of the socio-cultural reality of Spain in all its aspects, by use of newspapers, films, excursions and outings to different parts of city, weekend travels...The maximun of students per group is 6, so with wide participation of each student. We offer to our students accommodation with spanish families, residences,sharing apartments, and individual apartments and hotels. We offer also a lot of activities out of classes, lend books, free connection internet with ADSL, transfer service... The duration and content of courses is flexible for determinate groups with special needs. Our regular courses are: Intensive (6 hours/day), Normal (4 hours/day), Mixed (normal or intensive courso plus a number of personalised clsses acording to the student needs). Literature,Spanish History,Spanish Art, Spanish for busines, medical. Our courses have 6 levels: beginner A and B, intermediate A and B, Advanced and Superior.

The Spanish-Centre García Lorca is located in the heart of Granada, city with a privileged geographical position due to its proximity both to the Costa Tropical and the Sierra Nevada with its vast ski-territory. Famous historical monuments like the Alhambra or antique quarters like Albayzin tell us about the eventful history of the city where once christians, jews and muslims coexisted peacefully and created monuments of unequalled beauty.
Granada today is an important cultural and intellectual centre of Andalusia with a prestigious university. Students from all over the world come to live for a while in this unique city which offers besides its famous Flamenco spectacles and important cultural events such as the Festival de Música y Danza a great variety of bars, clubs and discos.
