TENIDIOMAS Founded in 1982 our small language school has over twenty years of experience teaching in Jerez and organises courses at all levels from Basic to Advanced. Our recently enlarged premises located in the heart of the historic centre of the city provide full facilities, including air-conditioned classrooms and a multimedia area for free access self-study sessions and personal Internet use. Over the years we have been able to design courses which are well structured, but at the same time flexible so as to cater for the different needs of each individual student. A placement test followed by a personal interview on arrival allows us to set individual objectives with regard to the vocabulary and structures to be studied during your stay. Tenidiomas is currently an examination centre for the Diploma Internacional de Español (FIDESCU) and ECCO exams (Instituto Hispanico de la Rioja), as well as running courses to prepare students for the DELE exams. Not just a language ….. On all our courses the emphasis is placed upon communication skills, as our aim being to develop fluency in conversation as quickly as possible. Free access to the multimedia area enables students to further practice writing and listening skills at their own pace. All courses include a programme of visits and excursions which form an integral part of the learning experience so that each participant gets to learn not only a language, but also something of the local culture and heritage of this wonderful little corner of Andalucía. Spanish Plus …… Our semi-intensive skills-based courses provide a different type of learning option: traditional classroom language tuition is followed by related excursions, visits and afternoon skills training which all join to form an integral part of the language learning process: “Spanish plus Wines and Brandy de Jerez” – a seven-day course including a programme of tasting sessions conducted by specialists from the two Consejos Reguladores who award an official certificate to those students who successfully complete the course. Visits include: El Misterio de Jerez, Sherry Bodega, Brandy Bodega, Manzanilla Bodega and Vineyard, plus a full day excursion to Sevilla. Fee includes 4-star hotel accommodation, welcome dinner, farewell lunch and airport transfers. Other courses include “Spanish plus Golf” and, for the horse lovers, “Spanish plus Doma Vaquera”

JEREZ A wonderful place in which to practice and rapidly improve your Spanish, thanks to the open, friendly character of the local Jerezanos. A medium-sized city of 180,000 inhabitants, yet far removed from the tourism of the crowded coastal resorts and the larger provincial capitals, a place which has all the amenities of a city (theatre, shopping areas and international airport) but managing to preserve its traditions and a way of life which is still 100% Spanish and above all Andaluz. Strategically located between the white sand beaches of the Atlantic coast and the picturesque mountain villages of the Sierra, you are never at a loss for things to do in this part of the world. The local climate, unique in Europe and even within Spain itself, boasts an average of 290 days of sun per year and has average winter temperatures of 10ºC, meaning that local life takes place outdoors in the street cafés and palm fringed, cobblestone squares of the city centre. Here in Jerez you are given the opportunity to put into practice what you learn in the classroom, be it visiting the picturesque local fish market, or on a visit to one of the local sherry companies to learn first hand the secrets of the wines and brandy of Jerez, at the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art where you can watch the horsemen putting the famous Cartujano horses through their paces, and in the small flamenco peñas where amateurs and friends get together to discuss, sing and dance flamenco
