Paramo, Academia de Español is situated, since 1988, in Valladolid, a city in the geographical and political centre of Castilla y Leon and the school is just behind the main square (Plaza Mayor), that is in the city centre, closed to museums, shops, restaurants and bars.
Valladolid is a town with a great History, Culture and Monuments. Here, among other events, took part the marriage between the Catholic Monarchs, Christopher Columbus lived and died, Felipe II and Felipe IV were born, the city was the capital city of Spain at the beginning of the XVII century. Here Cervantes, the author of the immortal Quixote lived, and centuries later, José Zorrilla, author of the mythical Don Juan Tenorio.
Since the town was founded by Count Ansurez, 900 years ago, it is an obligatory stop at the “Route of the Castillian Language”. This language, that since its journey from the north of Castilla, evolutioned when got in contact with several cultures up to become the language that Spaniards took to America.
